One more week until spring break. Seems like yesterday we were shoveling snow off of roofs and sidewalks and wondering when school would start again. Hope you have a relaxing weekend.
Magnet Dates- FYI- Here is magnet school lottery date information in case you need it:
Magnet Application deadline: March 24 @ 4:00 P.M.
Lottery: April 4 @ 8:00 A.M.
Letters mailed: April 7
Acceptance deadline: April 21 @ 4:00 P.M.
Oregon RTI Conference- The Oregon RTI conference is coming up in Eugene April 27 and 28. Here is a link to a flier. I believe there may be some transformation $ for transformation schools.
RTI for SLD Identification- Remember that we will be having a training on April 7, from 8-11:30 for principals. School Psych’s and ERC teachers are already invited. You may also invite one interventionist for a school team of 3 plus your psych. Subs paid by RTI grant.
You may or may not have some questions and/or concerns about RTI for SLD identification. Here is a link to a document where you can share your questions and/or concerns in hopes that we will be able to address at least some of these at our April 7 training.
Second Round School Visits- I’ve already heard some positive feedback regarding the second round of school design school visits. This is a good time to remember to get those going if you haven’t already. Here is a link to a document outlining the priorities for the second round of visits. Remember that I am able to cover your school if you need someone there while you are on visits. Just give me a call.
Personal Days- Just a heads up that lots of personal day requests are coming in for 3/24 so subs may be in short supply. Remember you can deny if over 5% of your staff is already going to be out.
Out?- Just a reminder to give me a heads up if you are going to be out of your building for a day.
