Title I- We have received our initial Title allocation for the 2018-2019 school year. The good news is that it is $207K more than last year. We won’t know our final allocation until August. last year they reduced us $125K from initial (spring) to final (August) allocation.  In addition, the numbers are based on our 2016 census data. ODE shared that they will adjust based on new data- when that comes out and when that impacts us, I don’t know. I do know our counts are down over 200 students since 2016 and I fully expect to see reductions, just not sure when.

So, this is how we are moving forward. We are releasing initial allocations to schools at the end of our horizontal meeting on Monday. JoAnne will be there to share a couple of changes to how you complete Title staffing plans. We have done our best to get you as close to last year as possible, while still holding back an amount that makes us comfortable in case we get another drastic reduction in our final allocation in August.  If that in fact does happen, we will hopefully have held back enough so that the reduction won’t reach schools. If we don’t happen to have a reduction, we will be able to release more to schools in the fall. If the reduction is larger than what we’ve held back, we’ll have to do some scrambling like last year- I’m hopeful this won’t happen.

You will also notice that costs have increased. 1.0 certified FTE will now cost you $112K. Classified will cost $7210 per hour with benefits and $3960 per hour without benefits.  These were calculated using our actual costs based on the 2018-2019 contracts.

Hopefully, we will be able to answer any questions on Monday.

Horizontal Meeting- Don’t forget we have a horizontal meeting on Monday at 4 at Jewell. We have  few necessary items to cover, and then I will release non-title schools.

Evaluations-Please remember to complete your self-eval one week prior to our meeting. Thanks!

Hiring- We will be interviewing for the Silver Rail VP position on Tuesday.

I know things are very busy/crazy right now, so I will stop. I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for all you do.
