Staffing- I will be giving principals and vice principals access to the staffing google docs very soon (like today). Do not access from the email. Go directly to your team drive in google docs and go to elementary and find your school. The way things finally landed, I have an extra 2 positions to distribute. I realize that there are probably about 12 schools who will be wanting an extra FTE, but as it stands now, unless we grow above our current projections, I only have 2 to give. I will be calling or visiting each of you to discuss staffing if I haven’t already.
Status Report- As promised, the status report I presented at our horizontal meeting on Monday. By the way, there were less droopy eyes in the audience than I expected. Thank you for your attentiveness.
Title I-About the time staffing comes out each year, I know Title I principals are beginning to think about Title staffing as well. As of today, we don’t have a preliminary allocation from the state, nor have we gotten any word of when that might arrive. After last year (initial allocation not given until late June and then final allocation in August reduced $125K from initial) things have got to be better…right? We will be using April 2 free and reduced and community eligibility numbers to determine school level allocations once we receive our district allocation from the state.
Conferences- Please let me know if your school is conferencing all three days. If you are working two 12’s, only conferencing on Wednesday, Thursday and taking Friday off, no need to respond. Thank you.
Helmets- Sonja Donahue from The Center will soon be reaching out to your school’s helmet assembly contact via email. She will be attaching a letter to go home, asking each school to make copies, send them to families, collect the returns and provide a number of returned slips to her by a certain date. Thanks in advance for your help with this as this is a fantastic program and a great service to our students and families.
IPAD Meeting- We have now been using IPADS at elementary schools for nearly five years. It’s safe to say that we have learned a lot over that time. Skip and I would like to meet with principals on Tuesday, April 3 at 3:00 to discuss some of this learning and what next steps we might take to apply it. We only need one administrator from each building.

Juniper VP- We will be posting on March 23 and closing on April 12. Interviews will be on April 26.
