Happy New Year and welcome to 2022!

Brinson Blvd Construction Closure & Traffic Flow

Brinson Blvd is currently under construction as crews work to widen the road and add turn lanes (both a left turn lane into Realms and also a turn lane to access the new buildings being built on the south side of Brinson).

From the west: Currently it appears as if Realms is ONLY ACCESSIBLE from the west side There is a “Closed to Thru Traffic” sign on Brinson at the top of the hill however you CAN drive down the hill, going eastbound and access the Realms HS parking lot.

From the east: It appears that Brinson may be closed to westbound traffic from the east side of Bend. There are detour signs routing traffic around to Boyd Acres so that you can access REalms HS .from the west.

We will keep you posted as we learn more!

COVID and Omicron

With Omicron looming large we obviously need to be ready for anything in the coming weeks, but it seems wise to EXPECT an increase in student and staff absences as we navigate folks staying home for cold/flu symptoms as well as the reality of positive cases. We continue to follow our District’s lead on all COVID related policies and plans.

We will be continuing to emphasize the critical importance of consistent mask wearing on campus at all times except when eating.

We will be requiring students to SPREAD OUT to 6′ distancing during lunch. While this may feel awkward and frustrating to some of our students, we know that to minimize the spread of this more contagious variant, it is what is RIGHT to do!

We will be opening doors during lunch to increase airflow.

Students experiencing cold/flu symptoms must remain at home. All the details about when to come to school vs stay home can be found here.

Parents – please reinforce this MASKING MESSAGE with your student!

2nd Trimester Classes Begin This Week

Monday January 3rd is the 1st day of the new trimester and therefore your new schedules!. Please check StudentVue for your new schedules.

If you need to request a schedule change, you may do so using the Schedule Change Request below. The first priority for student schedule changes is to make sure students are in the correct classes for graduation (meaning fixing any mistakes in your schedule) while changes based on preference will be our 2nd priority!

ALL SCHEDULE CHANGES NEED TO BE REQUESTED THROUGH THIS FORM! YOU CAN TALK TO A TEACHER, BUT THE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED TO INITIATE A CHANGE REQUEST!

Who Should I talk to? KAT TOMSIC (with Kristin Utter) will be processing all 9th – 11th grade grade schedule change request forms. JEN RULE will be processing all 12th grade schedule change request forms. [email protected] OR [email protected]

We ask students to attend AT LEAST 1-2 days of their schedule before requesting any changes. The “deadline” for making schedule changes is the 2nd Friday of the trimester – Friday January 15th.

GOT QUESTIONS?

9th – 11th Grade: Kat Tomsic (our Student Success Coordinator) is in charge of reviewing your schedule change requests. Please talk to Kat if you have questions.
