Parenting is not always easy and straightforward these days, and we ALL can use help, advice, and expert advice! The overall goal of the Connect Workshop is to positively influence parent-child dialogue in regards to the harms of marijuana and other potentially risky adolescent behaviors including but not limited to; adolescent gambling, gaming and digital screen use.
Realms is offering this amazing workshop free of charge, and we encourage any parents to attend. Please do RSVP ASAP – more info and sign up here.

Intensives Week Is Coming – Permission Forms Due!
WHEN? Our Fall Intensives Week is coming up soon – Monday October 17th – Thursday October 20th.
WHAT? Intensives are week long, choice-based deep dive classes that are experiential, creative, engaging and career-connected!We have put together this year’s student/parent friendly Fall 2022 Intensives Portal which is a “one stop shop” for permission forms, gear lists, overviews and contact information for each student’s Intensive class. Want to learn more about how awesome Intensives are? Check out last year’s video!
HOW? PARENTS & GUARDIANS – please visit the Intensives Portal ASAP and begin completing the linked permission form(s) for your student’s Intensive ASAP. Some Intensives have multiple permission forms. Permission forms are due Wednesday October 12th. We are now able to use digitally signable permission forms! No more need to download or print permission forms. However, if you DO need a paper form, please reach out to our office or email our Curriculum Secretary in charge of permission forms: [email protected]
ALSO – please be sure to check the gear lists required and let us know if there is any gear you don’t have… we will do our best to provide it. You can email our Intensives Coordinator ([email protected]) with questions.
HOW TO SUPPORT INTENSIVES?

If you are able to, please consider making a fieldwork contribution through Friends of Realms. As you can imagine, these cool Intensive classes require budget well in excess of what our school is given as part of our “regular funding”. Intensives are 100% funded by Friends of Realms, which in turn is supported solely by fundraising efforts each year. Your support makes a huge difference in our ability to offer Intensives.
Attendance – Help Us Keep Students IN/AT School!
Our school wide goal is that every student has 90% or better attendance each trimester!
If your student will be ABSENT or LATE, please always:
- call our attendance line at 541-355-5515 to leave a voicemail, OR
- email our attendance address at [email protected]
- PLEASE leave us your name, number, student’s name and reason for absence/late.
If we do not receive a call or an email, we assume that the student’s absence is UNEXCUSED and the parent/guardian will receive a “robocall” notifying you of your student’s absence. Absences of any kind directly impact a student’s ability to progress academically.
Students with a pattern of unexcused absences will be placed in our Attendance Intervention process.
If you received a robocall saying that your child was marked absent but you think they should be at school:
- call our main line at 541-355-5500 and we will check on them for you.
Midterm Progress Reports & Checking Grades!
Parents can check their student’s grades at ANY TIME using ParentVue.
At RHS, ParentVue is the GO TO place for students and their parents/guardians to see academic grading information. Canvas is the workflow tool for students but NOT the gradebook. This is different than other schools in our District who are using Canvas as the default gradebook!
For 9th and 10th graders, we strongly encourage students to visit ParentVue every week or two for a quick check! The transition to high school isn’t always easy, and it takes ALL OF US to stay on top of any “slips” as early as possible!
If you have not yet been on ParentVue, we strongly encourage you to go there ASAP! You can view your student’s attendance data, their grades and assignments and MUCH MORE!
If you need help accessing your ParentVue account, start here on this help page. If that does not provide the information you need, please call our office and we will help you get logged in. OR, email [email protected] for high school and [email protected] for middle school.
This SHORT video can help you better understand the grading system at Realms MS and HS:
Food Delivery Rules at Realms
Our office is unable to accept food and drink deliveries from services like Door Dash and Grub Hub etc.- SORRY! Students have been reminded that if they are ordering food from one of these services, they must enter the delivery time to be at or soon after the beginning of lunch and they must set the delivery location as the parking lot, and not the office. Students can meet their delivery driver in the parking lot.
We do not allow students to leave class to pick up a food delivery.
This policy is in keeping with food delivery rules at all of our local high schools and is designed to make sure that our office staff are not spending their time receiving, managing, troubleshooting and delivering food orders!!
Thanks!
Student Led Conferences – Coming Nov 9th – 10th
SAVE THE DATES! Wednesday Nov 9th in the afternoon and Thursday Nov 10th in the morning.
At RHS, Student Led Conferences (SLC’s) are an IMPORTANT part of the journey to becoming a Leader Of Your Own Learning and as such, we ask ALL 9th and 10th grade students to complete an SLC with a parent, guardian, or relative twice per year.
We will be sending out more information AND a sign up tool very soon, but for now, we want you to give you a heads up that we will have conference slots on Wednesday between 2:15PM and 7:45PM and then again throughout the morning on Thursday. Stay tuned for details.
