This and That:
No Meeting September: In an effort to support staff with time to get into routines, we will be instituting “No Meeting September.” This means that we will not call any leadership team meetings, staff meetings, or grade level EBISS meetings after school in the month of September.
9/18 SIW: Our SIW this week will be individual teacher time and we will NOT be pulling together.
Articles about Equity: Occasionally this year, I will be sharing articles intended to provoke some thought. They are not intended to be mandates or judgemental. I hope that you will take the time to read some of them and decide if they will impact your practice. Here is one about activities that are for specific parent groups (Muffins for Mom, Donuts for Dad, Pancakes for Pops, etc…) and how a small tweak to wording can make it more inclusive for all. Calendars: All staff should have access to the following three Elk Meadow calendars in your Outlook calendars (OWA): BLP Major Events, EME Events, and EME Social. This week, please ensure the that you have access to all three and ask for help in the office if you do not have these calendars.
