11/20 SIW Plans: SIW will be individual time this week! Woot! We will NOT be pulling together first… the time is ALL yours.
Art Workshop Schedule:

Battle of the Books: The Central Oregon regional organizer for Battle of the Books stepped down this year and OBOB was in danger of not happening in Central Oregon this year, BUT… Amy Michalski has stepped up and OBOB in Central Oregon will continue (THANK YOU, AMY! – This is no small task; but a lot of kids will benefit.) A heads-up to all staff… Elk Meadow will be used for the regional tournament in March (this means that most of our classrooms will be used at this Saturday event). More information when the event draws closer.
Grant Recipients: Congrats to Kathy, Heather, and Melinda for the news that their grants are being funded by The Education Foundation. An additional congrats to Kathy and Heather for also receiving SELCO grants! Way to go!
- Heather is receiving $250 from the Ed. Foundation and an additional $1000 from SELCO for art/ photography.
- Melinda is receiving $200 for an ELL Book Club from the Ed. Foundation.
- Kathy is receiving $710 for Mallets from the Ed. Foundation and $550 from SELCO for an instrument lending library.

Art Workshops: If you haven’t already completed the google doc with your art workshop information, please follow this link now. PLEASE NOTE: We are quite low on K/1 workshops… please don’t be surprised if some of you are asked to include this age group.
Master Schedule: All teams chose to recommit to template work after our reading core effectiveness in October, so I plan to do a template mini observation for all classroom teachers. If you haven’t done so already, please go to the master schedule and add the time of day you do templates so that I know what time to visit.
