Hi everyone! Lots of little TO DO items this week.

Wednesday Clarification:

  • We will not have a staff meeting on Wednesday but will be connecting that afternoon with vertical teams. Please refer to my previous e-mail for webex room hosts. 2:30-3:10.
  • ALL STAFF must be on campus from 8-4 unless it is during your “duty free” prep or lunch or you have made other calendar plans with me. Anyone should be able to connect easily with any staff member in person during this day.
  • Wednesday is primarily a day for students to receive support who are struggling. Please do not grade anything or attach points to any assignments on this day. Students can have work that they can engage in or is assigned as “homework” on Tuesday night to be done when they return but please keep in mind that nothing should be done this day that is another opportunity for students who are behind to become further behind.
  • I will be available in webex on Monday morning at 8:30 for any clarification folks need.

End of Year Awards: Please add your nominations for end of year awards to THIS DOCUMENT. These are due by Friday next week. Then we will narrow the list and send off for awards.

Curriculum Orders:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JW5ZEEldaYFCeURx4gzsrn0f0gPLPuTdbwephS-D2u0/edit?usp=sharing

Please check the curriculum order for your department on the spreadsheet. It includes last year’s order as well as the items your department put on for next year. We will remove all items from last year’s order prior to placing next year’s order but want to be sure that there is nothing that needs to be re-ordered. SPEND SPEND SPEND! Please update the spreadsheet by Wednesday, May 12.

June 9th Athletics: Brooke will be reaching out to everyone for support on June 9th as we will be hosting wrestling events and a VB jamboree. We will need a lot of help so if you are able and can put it on your calendar, please send her or Christina an e-mail.

Masking Guidelines: In her most recent guidance, Gov. Brown said that for schools, we will continue to follow current RSSL guidance regarding social distancing and mask-wearing for the remainder of this school year (see end of third paragraph). In other words, no changes for us (as of now anyway!) in how we do school this spring.

School Counseling: Our district has identified a need for more counselors (and more diverse) counselors in our district. Are you interested in this career? If so, Click HERE to complete a short survey.

End of the Year Evaluations: I will be sending out a link for evals if you are on the cycle this year. Additionally, if you are and have not done your self-reflection please do so.

Lunch Reminder: Please remember to greet your students at the door prior to leaving for lunch. This is an opportunity to remind them of their seating assignments and to give any other behavioral reminders that may be needed to ensure that we are able to maintain our contact tracing via seat assignments.

District Shredding: Remainder of the year reminder…if you have documents that need “bulk” shredding at the district, please box if up, tape for security, label it “BLS Shredding”  and bring box to office OR you can bring docs to Deb or Christina and we will put your items in our shredding box.
