Principal’s Hello
Dear Golden Eagle Families,
This morning we met as a staff to review what’s going well and what’s on the horizon. We feel like this has been a great start–we hope your student feels the same!
We’re especially impressed by our 8th graders. They’re such a strong group: friendly, sociable, kind. The oldest kids in a building set the tone, and we’re grateful to have this group this year!
See below for important info on morning drop-off protocol (pull ALL THE WAY forward), attendance, and other things like volunteering.
Have a cozy fall weekend with family, and see you Monday!
Sean

Attendance Reminders
The easiest way to let us know about your student’s absence is by email at [email protected]. You’re also welcome to use the new ParentVUE option—it’s quick and convenient.
If you’d rather call, you can leave a message at 541-355-7820. For early pickups, a quick heads-up at least 30 minutes in advance really helps us make sure your child is ready on time.
Daily Student Item Deliveries
With school in full swing, we often see an influx of deliveries of items and lunches for students, which can overwhelm our front office staff. To help things run more smoothly, please remind your student to bring everything they’ll need for the school day and after-school activities when they leave home in the morning.
If your student truly needs something delivered during the day, they may come to the attendance office to use the school phone and call to request it. Once the item has been dropped off and your student knows it’s coming, we will not send a note to the classroom. Instead, items will be placed on a cart in the office, and your student can pick them up during passing periods or after school.
Please also note that we cannot accept food or beverage deliveries through services such as DoorDash, UberEats, or similar. Any deliveries of this kind will be turned away.
Thank you so much for your support and cooperation—we appreciate your help in keeping the office running smoothly!
