Principal’s Hello
Dear Golden Eagle Families,
We had another fantastic week here at Pacific Crest. Administrators started getting into classrooms to observe teachers, and we weren’t surprised to see clear expectations, academic rigor, and genuine care and warmth from our teachers toward our students. What an amazing place to work!
Next week in Advisory we give our Waypoints assessment, which measures empathy, sense of self, and social connectedness. This data allows to form small groups of students who need additional support to be academically successful. Next week we also introduce clubs and our Standard Response Protocol, which is how we conduct ourselves in the event of an emergency.
We are humming along here–hope to see you next week at Back to School Night! And have a great weekend in this warm fall weather!
Sean
Student Item Deliveries
If you need to drop off items for your student during the school day, please bring them to the Attendance Office, located to the right as you enter the building.
When delivering items, please be sure to:
- Drop them off at the Attendance Office.
- Place all items in a bag.
- Clearly label the bag with your student’s name.
- Follow these steps especially for shoes, gym equipment, and other personal belongings.
Items available for pickup will be placed on a cart outside the Attendance Office. Students are expected to come down and collect their belongings themselves. Please note that a reminder note will not be sent to their classroom.
Thank you for helping us keep this process smooth, efficient, and less disruptive to our classrooms.
Student Absences & Pickups
The easiest way to report your student’s absence is by email at [email protected]. You can also use the new ParentVUE option—it’s quick and convenient. If you’d rather call, please leave a message at 541-355-7820.
For early pickups, advance notice is especially important. Letting us know at least 30 minutes ahead ensures we have time to get your child ready and helps the process run smoothly.
Thank you for planning ahead—it makes a big difference.
Attending Summit High School Football Games
Summit High School is very grateful for the community support of their varsity Football program. Having your middle school student attend a Summit Friday night game is part of that supportive community. Summit appreciates your help with this matter and to follow district-wide rules below when attending future games at any of our schools.
- All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult family member in order to enter the game.
- Backpacks or skateboards are not allowed in stadiums.
- Backpacks and skateboards cannot be stored at stadiums, so leave them at home.
- Outside food or drink is not allowed in stadiums.
- Students will be expected to sit in the stadium bleachers.
- Students are not allowed to re-enter a stadium once they leave.
- You can purchase tickets online.
Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found is growing, and we’d love to see these items make their way back home! Students are encouraged to take a peek and check for any missing belongings. The Lost and Found is located at the bottom of the 8th grade steps. Families will also have the opportunity to look through items during Back to School Night on September 25.
