Principal’s Hello!
Happy Friday, everyone! It was a great week in the golden eagles’ nest!
Our 6th graders conducted field studies at Skyliners Lodge. Our 7th graders completed their personal reading books and analyzed power dynamics in their novels. And our 8th graders visited their high schools for Career / Tech Education Fly Up Day.

DATE CORRECTION: High School Orientation Night
We inadvertently reported the wrong date for this event. All current 8th grade students are invited to attend an orientation night at their next year’s high school on Monday, March 6th @ 6:00pm (not Wednesday, March 8th). Please plan to attend. Families are invited. Below are the participating schools.

Congratulations PCMS Golden Eagle Wrestlers!
Twenty-three Golden Eagle wrestlers will be attending the Middle School Regional Qualifier this Saturday, March 4th at Caldera High School. These wrestlers will be competing for 1 of 4 spots in their weight class to attend the state tournament in Woodburn next week. Congratulations Golden Eagles!
Coffee Talk with Principal Keating
Stop by PCMS between 9:00 and 10:00 AM this Friday, March 10 for an informal chat with Principal Keating. This is a chance to ask questions, share ideas, and just chat about PCMS, education, Bend, whatever! You can stay for the whole hour or just a few minutes. It’s casual.
To be clear, this is not a time to talk about individual student or teacher concerns. To address a student social-emotional concern, please schedule a time with your student’s counselor. To address a student behavior concern, please schedule a time with Assistant Principal Schmidt. To address a staff or program concern, please schedule a time with Principal Keating.
REMINDER to ATTENDEES: A drivers license is required to check in at the main office before entering the building.

PCMS Robotics Club Fundraiser
In partnership with PCCO, the PCMS Robotics Club is holding a cookie fundraiser to raise money to purchase needed equipment and materials. Students and staff are invited to buy a chocolate chip cookie for themselves or a friend. The cookie presale will occur March 6th-March 10th during lunch. Please bring CASH! The price is $3 for one cookie or $5 for two. All cookies will be delivered on Friday, March 17th during Advisory. A special thank you goes to Focaccia Folks, who are donating their ingredients and time to bake these delicious cookies. Thank you for supporting our Robotics Team!
