Principal’s Hello

Dear Golden Eagle Families,

Today we began our Fall Spirit Competition, which concludes the day of the Monster Mash Halloween Dance on Friday, Oct 25. Kids were decorating their Advisory classroom doors and wore black and gold, our school colors.

Today we also had our 7th grade ultimate frisbee championship in the gym! The students were psyched and cheered like crazy for their friends. Shout out to Ms. Wallace for organizing this fun event.

A final note: I want to assure you that the safety and security of our students is our top priority. When incidents involving staff arise, we follow specific procedures designed to both protect our students and ensure due process for the individuals involved. However, these situations can be complex, and we are bound by confidentiality laws that prevent us from sharing certain details until appropriate.

That said, in the instance of providing assurances of safety, I do want you to know that the rumor of a staff member leaving campus in police custody yesterday is not true. While it is accurate that we placed an employee on paid administrative leave to conduct an investigation into allegations brought forward, the police are not involved in this matter.

Upcoming Fall Conferences

We have 3 days of conferences this fall!

Tuesday and Wednesday (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM) is open house style drop-in conferences. You can drop in anytime to chat with teachers. We will have a dinner break between 5:00 and 5:45, and teachers will likely take a break from 6:45 to 7:00.

Thursday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) is scheduled conferences. You will get a link soon to sign up for a slot with a teacher of your choosing. These conferences are 12-minutes max.

Remember that conferences are ideal if your student is struggling in a class. If your student is earning all A’s and B’s, a simple phone call or email with your question might be more appropriate.

Tickets will be pre-sold Monday, 10/21 – Thursday, 10/24 before school, at lunch in the Upper Nest and in the Main Office any other time. Cash is preferred, but a check made payable to PCCO will work too. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. flyer.

Also, students who attend this event will remain at the dance until 6:00 PM. Students will not be released early unless it is pre-arranged by sending an email to Deb Mullen @ [email protected].

Believe it! Lost and found is already overflowing!

Students are responsible for checking lost and found regularly throughout the school year. PCMS will not be held responsible for items that are not claimed. All unclaimed lost and found items will be donated to a local charity in need on the following dates. Make a point to check our collection during upcoming conferences.
