504 Tips

Please remember your students ‘newly’ brought in for a 504 Initial.

Synergy has a ‘fault’ with a student brought in for a 504 Initial evaluation.
In your portfolio these new evaluations show as green (completed) icons, rather than as red (due) icons.

Please check your portfolio to make sure you don’t have some outstanding new 504s. 🙂

Finalize, Finalize, Finalize.

Check your students and make sure you’ve finalized the written plans you have had checked by me.

Reminders for year’s end:

April – June review due on a transitioning student?

PLEASE contact MS/HS 504 Coordinator to find out their preference:

• Plan stays due till student is in new setting —–OR—–

• You renew (with their input for new setting)

ODE 504 Training Coming up Next Wednesday

“504 Coordinators, we have arranged for a training by the Oregon Department of Education.
This training will take place on:  January 18^th from 8-12
at the Education Center:  Room 314 (Board Room)
Please know that this training is for any administrator, or counselor that is currently involved in 504.
If you are new to 504 I would consider this training to be required.
If you are a veteran I would strongly encourage you to attend.
This is an opportunity for you to learn and ask questions about 504 from our partners at ODE.
