ODE 504 Training — SAVE THE DATE
“504 Coordinators, we have arranged for a training by the Oregon Department of Education.
This training will take place on January 18th from 8-12
at the Education Center Room 314 (Board Room)
Please know that this training is for any administrator, or counselor that is currently involved in 504.
If you are new to 504 I would consider this training to be required.
If you are a veteran I would strongly encourage you to attend.
This is an opportunity for you to learn and ask questions about 504 from our partners at ODE.

New student brought into Synergy for a 504 plan
Synergy has a ‘fault’ with a new student brought in for a 504 evaluation.
In your portfolio these new evaluations show as happy green buttons, rather than as Eek! red due buttons.
Don’t let that green button fool you! Don’t forget that these new student entries are DUE for an Initial.
In fact, check your portfolio now to make sure you don’t have some outstanding DUE new students.
It’s time to cut the cord, folks!
For Initials and 3 yr re-eval.
We’re going back to you collecting the signature for the Synergy Section “Notice to Conduct a 504 Evaluation Form”
If the meeting is in person:

enter the information into this form PRIOR to the meeting

print it out and bring it to the meeting

have parent sign
-
scan it to me at the end of the meeting along with the 504 Meeting Packet
If the meeting is over the phone, virtual, etc:

You’ll send the filled form home to the parent to sign
