Upshift Update from Deschutes County

The end of the year is approaching quickly and every school site in BLS has done a great job adopting and/or implementing the UpShift program.

The last day of school is Thursday, June 15th (k-11). That means that the estimated cutoff date for referring low-medium risk students to Teen Intervene is FridayMay 26th (for completing sessions 1 & 2). For completing sessions 1, 2 and the Parent session, the cutoff date is Wednesday, May 17th

For Seniors, the last day varies depending what school you are at (please plan accordingly).

  • June 6  – the estimated cutoff date for referring low-medium risk students to Teen Intervene is Thursday, May 18th  (for completing sessions 1 & 2). For completing sessions 1, 2 and the Parent session, the cutoff date is Monday, May 8th.
  • June 1 – the estimated cutoff date for referring low-medium risk students to Teen Intervene is Friday, May 12th  (for completing sessions 1 & 2). For completing sessions 1, 2 and the Parent session, the cutoff date is Tuesday, May 2nd.

This accounts for 10 days in between sessions so there is wiggle room if you are doing 7-10 days between sessions.  Any low-medium risk student that are routed to UpShift after the cutoff date can/should be referred to Rimrock Trails Treatment.
