Program Goals and Accountability Measures

On August 30th we outlined the goals for our comprehensive counseling program, a first step toward aligning our K-12 programs. While the ongoing work will be supported with our PLC time and Educator Network Days, we created tentative deadlines to help us remain accountable to our work together.

We created this ongoing document to provide resources for program development in alignment with our district vision and goals. Feel free to reach out to Jess Calbreath with questions or suggestions you may have for the document. Eventually, we will develop a “BLS Counselor Toolkit.”

Goal #1: Annual Calendar

  • Complete and update ASCA annual calendar
  • Review with your administration by the end of September
  • Share with Jennifer and Jess by October 3rd

Goal #2: Department Goal (Site)

  • Develop a data-based department goal (use as SLGG)
  • Review with your administration by the end of October
  • Share with Jennifer and Jess by November 10th
  • Share data on June 2nd

Goal #3: College and Career Readiness: Individual Learning Plans for Grades 6-12

  • Continue to develop & refine programming for Life and Career Readiness
    • HS & MS: Getting to Individual Student Planning for Grades 6-12
    • ES:  Pilot Harmony SEL or Caring School Communities at SRE
  • Complete the Individual Student Planning Decision Making Guide  for your site by December 2nd and send to Jennifer and Jess
  • PLC work to move forward on our alignment during second semester

Goal #4: Identify Tiered Interventions and Programming in all Domains

  • Synergy Documentation
    • Input into Student Conference as consistently as possible
    • We hope to run data at end of fall semester, but will keep you updated based on Synergy programming updates that still need to be done
  • MTMDSS: System Wide Programming 
    • Tiered Intervention by Domain
    • Complete MTMDSS Template for your school by the end of the first semester. Share with Jennifer and Jess.
    • Update your Tiered Interventions Programming by June 2nd and share with Jennifer, Jess, and your building administration.
