The Teachers Development Group Math Habits, Routines, and Actions have been updated to reflect current research on equitable student engagement. You can find them here. There will be opportunities during the school year to learn about them from your instructional coach, your MCRT member, and a seminar in the summer of 2024.

Concept Quest – If you teach grades 2-5, you may have noticed a new tab on the Bridges Educator Site.  There will be opportunities to learn about these lessons throughout the year. But, if you are curious, you can explore here under “Getting Started Collection” but log into the Bridges Educator Site first so the link works.

Attention 3rd grade teachers (and maybe 4-5 teachers)! You need to manually update the learning environment for students to transition from the K-2 environment to the 3-5 environment. This Support Article has step by-step-step instructions. Reach out to Kerry Morton, Robbie Faith, or your Instructional Coach if you need support.

DreamBox updates – There are a few changes to the reports, see them here.

Forefront – Your students are not loaded yet. You will see an updated list when Bend-LaPine shares rosters with Forefront.

2021 Oregon Standards are the standards you should be teaching. There are some slight changes from the CCSS.  There will be a correlation to Bridges coming in the coming weeks.

Technology in the Classroom

Headphones – If you or any teacher or grade level team are interested in pursuing headphones for this year, talk to your administration. Admin have been encouraged to reach out to Melissa in the tech department.  The headphones we’ve had a good experience with in the last year or two have been the Koss UR20. Melissa has been able to get these through her rep for around $13 each earlier this year but prices may have gone up, so check with her if you are interested.

Student iPad Check-Up Use this presentation to help get students set-up on iPads this year.

Seesaw – As you may know our district renewed Seesaw this year for grades K-5, which means your entire building has access to all of Seesaw’s premium features! Our goal with Seesaw is to engage our families in their child’s learning For more information, please read this information. You’re welcome to use this email communication with your families.
