In times like these the person I go to for wisdom and reassurance is always…Maya Angelou. She lifts me up and helps we to remember what is important in life.
Nothing will work unless you do.
~Maya Angelou
This quote says it all about what is important in these times. Our children, families and colleagues are not going to remember that we couldn’t figure out how to get on Webex or that we didn’t know how to record a minilesson. They are going to remember that we took the time to reach out to them, the time to check-in, the time to give words of encouragement, grace, empathy and celebration.
When you get frustrated remember….
I do my best because I’m counting on your counting on me.
~Maya Angelou
You are not alone on this journey (even though quarantine feels like it).
We are all doing the best we can. We are in this together and will tackle this challenge together. Lean on your team and the people around you that can support you (Don’t forget your coaches we are here for you).
This is a huge learning curve for all of us. Give yourself grace as you try new things. Ask others to give you grace as you try new things. Cheer each other on as you learn new things.
