For most of us, a quick trip to the grocery store might be the biggest outing we’ve had lately. But Shari Nichols’s High Desert Middle School art students had a personalized tour of the Guggenheim in New York City last week. With the generous help of the museum’s Learning Through Art program, students took a WebEx “flight” to the Big Apple where they learned about the museum itself, analyzed some paintings, and engaged in discussions about great works of art. What a great way to expand the horizons of these students, using our available technology to bring the world to them. Brava, Shari!
