This and That:
Art Inspiration: Want to explore the element line in a new way? Why not try movement exploration. Can they create all the types of line with their bodies? Give parameters such as they can only use their elbow, head, etc.
Tuesday Staff Meeting: Like last week, keep a close watch on your email Monday night and/or Tuesday morning. More snow is forecasted and I will likely cancel the meeting (not postpone) if we get the amount of snow that is predicted.
Art Workshops: Our second round of Art Workshops is just around the corner on Wednesdays 3/6, 3/13, 3/20 from 9:15-10:15 with an all school recess at 10:30. If you haven’t already, please sign-up on the google doc with some of the details for your workshop. It is ok to do the same workshop as last time, but do not put “same as last time” on the doc as that makes a lot more work for the person putting it all together.
Winter SLGG Sign-ups: Our winter SLGG check-in will take place over the next few weeks. In order to save money, we are going to try and complete the mid-year check-in without using substitutes. Please do the following ASAP:
- Follow this link to sign-up for a 15 minute time slot. Please help me out by not getting too many staff members back-to- back (no more than 2-3 should be back-to-back in one chunk of time.)
- If writing was one of your goals, please ensure that your writing scores are entered onto the SLGG writing google doc at least a few days before your SLGG meeting so that I have time to work with the data before our meeting time. Here is a link to that doc:
SIW This Week: Be sure you are signed up for your District SIW three part series as they will begin this week.

Valentine Parties: Please be sure to let Sue and April know your classroom Valentines plans as soon as you know what they are so that we can support you by fielding phone calls in the office.
PBIS/ Kindness Month Mural: For Kindness month we would love to work together as a community to create a large mural of an eagle made entirely of hand prints. For an example see the attached image (although ours will be way cooler/beautifuler/better in every way. The hand prints tie in with the video Frank sent out earlier this month.
The PBIS Team is hoping you can squeeze this in to your lesson plans for next week. Please see the email sent by Jess and follow up Conor on Friday.
Hands need to be done by 2/15 and turned in to Karen’s mailbox. If you need support reach out to Conor, Karen, or Jess.
