This and That:

Kindergarten Early Entrance: FYI… the School Board recently voted to accept changes to the BLS early entrance policy. The changes are outlined here. The biggest change is that we will not consider entrance to kindergarten for students turning five after September 1st.

Monday Staff Meeting: Our staff meeting agenda will be a review of “code pink” procedures for medical emergencies and scheduling sibling conferences.

Focus on Excellence and Equity:

Regional Dyslexia Conference (From Julie Walker):  This is a really great local opportunity to learn more about dyslexia.

Erin’s Law Training: All Elk Meadow students will receive the Erin’s Law curriculum during the month of April. Please send Frank an email this week letting him know the dates your team will be teaching the required curriculum. There is one final Erin’s Law and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention support session this coming Wednesday, March 22nd, from 1:30-2:30. Sign up here. Julie will send the zoom link to those who sign up.

T-Shirt Design Contest: Please share the info about the T-shirt Design Contest with your students and families. There is a hard due date of Friday, 3/24.

Parent Volunteers: Before a volunteer can begin, you must get official confirmation from Nicole or Chris that the parent has passed the background check. Once they say yes, you will need to add them to this weekly google document letting us know who to expect each day.
