I hope you are all looking forward to enjoying some time in the snow in Central Oregon! As we move into next week and the weeks to come, please let us know what you may need along the way. Here are a couple of items to peruse prior to our meeting.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics: Deschutes County will have completed its first round of vaccine doses to those who are eligible as part of Oregon’s Phase 1a Vaccine Sequencing Plan by the weekend, allowing the County to move into Phase1b, which includes current K-12 school employees. Appointments will be available on the below dates. Current k-12 employees only are invited to sign up for an appointment here. Vaccine video.

  • The vaccine is available by appointment only. Bring your current staff ID to your appointment.
  • Look for your confirmation from St. Charles Health System/MyChart in your email after submission. Your appointment scheduling is complete once you have received this message.
  • There is no out of pocket cost for our staff to attend this clinic and the vaccine is optional for employees.
  • The vaccination process includes several steps and will take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.
  • We ask that only those with vaccine appointments enter the vaccination facility, due to space and physical distancing requirements.
  • There continues to be a very limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine in Oregon.
  • Do not share this email or the signup link with others; do not post to social media, forward the email or print and hand to your neighbor.
  • This opportunity has been created for our staff and we need to respect this; any person who shares this link with others outside of current school staff is potentially taking a vaccine away from an eligible educator.
  • Your friends and family members can fill out the vaccine interest form at vaccine.deschutes.org
