Principal’s Hello!

Hello, PCMS families!

Many of you have already met her before, but here’s a formal introduction to Julie Ketsdever, our new community secretary. Welcome, Julie! She has a lot of experience in the district, and we are lucky to have her. She’s also the proud mom of a PCMS 8th grader!

Thank you to those who came out last night for “Be the Boss of Your Brain” here at the PCMS library. Carrie Bonnett gave an informative and influential presentation (as usual). I encourage all of you to attend one of her talks when you can. We’ll do another one next year, for sure. I’ve already made some changes in my own life and for my kids to help “make the invisible visible.”

Have a great weekend, everyone! Hopefully the sun peeks through!

Sean

Friday, June 16 – OPTIONAL for 8th Grade

On Thursday night, June 15, our 8th graders will process across the stage in our gym, celebrating their transition from middle to high school. We consider this the final activity for our 8th graders.

The following day, Friday, June 16, will be a field day activity devoted just to our 6th and 7th graders. While we cannot force 8th graders to stay home (and we will welcome them if they do attend), we are asking our 8th graders to start their summer vacation one day early. The commencement ceremony will be their final school activity.

Please let us know if you have any questions. The other middle schools are also making Friday, June 16 optional for 8th graders.
