Principal’s Hello

Dear Golden Eagle Families,

Happy first full week Friday! Look at this happy crew:

A HUGE PCMS GOLDEN EAGLE STAFF WELCOME!

We’re delighted to finish our first full week with your kiddos. And we have some exciting things on the horizon: opening our Gold Mine student store, fall sports games, Back to School Night, the Halloween Dance. We are building on our momentum from last year and having even more fun this year!

Next week in advisory we introduce clubs. Is your student interested in something? Would they want to start a club? It’s a great way to meet new people and helps connect students to school in a different way.

If your student is riding their bike to school, please ensure they’re wearing a helmet, respecting the rules of the road, and walking their bike on campus. We’re seeing some outstanding bike behavior as well as some dangerous bike behavior. Please help us keep our kids safe!

Have an awesome, sunny weekend before we snuggle into some cozy fall weather next week!

Upcoming Dress Code Lesson for Students

Now that school is in full swing, we want to take a moment to review and reflect on our district Dress Code.  These early conversations will help us be proactive and transparent in understanding school expectations and values, and will set everyone up for success, respect, and safety.

Next week your student will participate in reviewing a lesson on the Dress Code. This is the same dress code that we had last year. We encourage families to be part of this conversation alongside us!  Feel free to review the Dress Code policy here. 

It is important that our whole learning community shares a common understanding and interpretation of the Dress Code in order to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment. Proactive conversation helps avoid misunderstandings, surprises, or unintended harm later. Thank you for your partnership!

PCMS Swag Online Store is Open!

Spirit Fridays do exist here at PCMS, so let’s get this party started! Students and staff are encouraged to wear PCMS swag or PCMS colors each Friday!

Our PCMS Online Store is now open to purchase Golden Eagle swag. We have added a few new items. The deadline to purchase is Friday, 10/6. Swag will be available for pick-up at school by Monday, October 30 or sooner. Check it out!

PCMS Golden Eagle Social | Thursday, October 12 | 6:00 – 7:00 PM

Come get to know fellow eagle families at our first Family Social of the year! We’ll be gathering at The Lot from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, October 12 to connect with PCMS families and grab a bite to eat. This is a no-host event. Bonus points if you wear PCMS gear or colors!

If you are interested in volunteering at PCMS and are not currently cleared to do so, please go to the BLS Volunteer webpage for all the information you need to become a volunteer. It takes 5-7 days to process background checks, so we encourage you to apply today!
