Principal’s Hello
Dear Golden Eagle families,
I write this email dressed as one of our 8th grade students, and he’s dressed as me today. Tomorrow, Friday, is Monster Mash: Our annual Halloween Dance. This whole week we’ve been wearing pajamas, neon, and dressing as twins. This fun, connected, safe, humorous culture sets the stage for high levels of trust and learning. I hope you agree.
Thanks for being a part of the magic with us. You only get one childhood. Let’s make it special and secure.
Sean
Reminder: Fall Conference Open House and Sign-ups
Please join us for our Open House Style Conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 29 and 30, from 4:00-5:00 and 5:45-8:00. In each classroom, your student will share what they are working on and you will have the opportunity to speak with your student’s teacher. Privacy is not guaranteed.
On Thursday, October 31, we offer scheduled conferences to support students struggling in a particular class. Please sign up for an available time to connect with your student’s teacher. We kindly request that conferences start and stop on time in order to best serve all PCMS families. Please click here to select a conference time.
In order to serve as many families as possible, we must start and end conferences according to the schedule. Thanks for understanding!
Attending Mountain View Football Games
Mountain View High School is very grateful for the community support of our Football program. We understand the important role that high school football games play in our community. Having your middle school student attend a Mountain View night game is part of that supportive community. Due to safety and supervision, the expectation for middle school guests and families are below. Thank you in advance for supporting these expectations. We look forward to seeing you at our next game.
- All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult in order to enter the game.
- Backpacks or skateboards are not allowed in stadiums.
- Outside food or drink is not allowed in stadiums.
- Students are expected to refrain from rough-housing, littering and inappropriate language.
- Students are not allowed to re-enter a stadium once they leave.
- It is recommended that you purchase tickets online, ahead of time, to avoid a longer wait at the front gate. Tickets can be purchased here.
Photo Retake & Make-up Day
Photo Makeup / Retake Day takes place on Tuesday, 11/5. This day is for students who were not present on Thursday, 9/26 and for students who need, not want, to have their photos retaken. If you have purchased a photo packet and you want your student to have their photo retaken, please return the photo packet to the main office by Tuesday, 11/5.
For questions regarding photos, photo packets, etc., you may contact Dorian Customer Service at www.mydorian.com/support or (800) 826-3535.

A Message from PCCO: Fill Our Nest Giving Campaign
This is a reminder, the Pacific Crest Community Organization (PCCO) kicked off the annual “Fill Our Nest” Giving Campaign earlier this month. This one-time annual fundraising campaign runs from September 26th thru October 31st 2024, but of course we will accept contributions all year!
This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 in financial support from our community. These funds give additional support to programs such as school social events, teacher/staff professional development grants, school enrichment clubs, funds/scholarships for field trips and classroom experiences for each grade level.
Although we appreciate the generous donations we have received to date, we are far from our goal as shown below. Needless to say, we need your help. Please consider making a personal or business donation by completing this donation/sponsorship form and returning it to the front office. Donations can also be made online via PayPal or by following one of the QR codes below to PayPal or Venmo. Feel free to contact us with questions at [email protected].

What are Delays, Early Release or Closures?
- School Closure: Schools are closed for the day due to weather or emergency. In this scenario, the school building will not be used. Unless otherwise noted, all evening meetings and activities are cancelled.
- Delayed Start: School will have a delayed start. Most often, this is a two-hour delay. In this scenario, buses will run two hours later than normal schedule and will drive slowly, adjusting to conditions and may be delayed. A delayed start decision can turn into a school closure decision.
- Early Release: Students who ride the bus can be released early in order to give the buses extra time to complete routes.
- Early Closure: Schools may be closed early due to weather or emergency. In this scenario, the school building will not be used. Unless otherwise noted, all evening meetings and activities are cancelled, including KidsInc.
Always refer to the BLS Website for the most up-to-date information regarding the above.
