Welcome back Golden Eagles! I hope you all had a restful and relaxing break in the sun and with those you love.
On March 25th and 26th, the district sent updates regarding a move toward ALL-IN instruction which will begin for grades 6-12 on April 12th. This means that there are several changes to the next couple of weeks in order for us to rearrange some things with conferences and to prepare to have more students at any given time in our building. If you missed the announcement, you can find it HERE.
I will know more about finite plans at the secondary level by this Wednesday and will share them with you as soon as I know them. In the interim, here is what you can prepare for:
- The next two Wednesdays (3/31 and 4/7) will be planning and restructuring days at school. Students will not have live WEBEX and teachers will be re-configuring classrooms and planning for new instruction.
- This week and next week will continue to be EAGLE weeks (periods 4-7). Students will also bring a take-home conference home on April 9th to be completed with you at home during the following couple of days.
- Conferences will now be held the evenings of April 21st and 22nd. The recent changes have condensed our conference time options considerably. If you would like to sign up for a virtual conference with a teacher even after having completed the Take Home Conference with your child, you can do so when conference times go live on April 14th. I will send more information home with you as it gets closer. April 16th, (Friday) will continue to be a NO SCHOOL day.
- Our bell schedule will be finalized in the next two days and will be shared with everyone from the district level. I will continue to send you updates as well as I know more.
As questions continue to come up, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I can work to find answers for you and our larger Golden Eagle community. -L
