Sparrow Autumn Update: Check this out! Our little Sparrow recently met her newest favorite friend.
Great news! Our 8th graders won the Stuff the Jar competition with a total of $663. Our 7th graders donated $463 and our 6th graders donated $461. Better news, an anonymous individual has matched the 8th donation which brings our grand total to $2,250 which will go directly to Autumn and her family.
Nancy Childers, Central Oregon Director of Sparrow Clubs USA, has shared a slideshow that will be sent to Autumn and her family. It is a compilation of all PCMS community service vouchers reflections. We highly encourage you to watch this presentation to Autumn with your entire family.
We are so proud to announce that we nearly tripled our goal of earning 256 hours community service hours. Golden Eagles earned a total of 1,080 hours. In co-sponsorship with The Young Family, Autumn and her family will receive an additional $2,560.
Lastly, we want to thank all Golden Eagles who took time to write encouraging messages to Autumn to create special artwork and colorful garland to adorn her room.
Once again GOLDEN EAGLES SOARED with a cash donation grand total of $4,810!

Last Day Events: This year, on our last day, we will honor many of our students along with a special focus on our 8th grade class. This will happen throughout the day when our students will visit each class as well as have a celebration near the end of the day to finish off our Sparrow Challenge. Additionally, we will be sharing an end of the year video when we will highlight our school-wide award winners and our students who are Leaving the Nest. If your child does not have a class in the middle of the day, they will simply need to go to the library during the class scheduled time. We will start out our day in Advisory. All students should bring their iPads and something to write with that day.
Medication Pick Up Reminder: If your student has medication at school, please come by the attendance office by June 17th to pick it up. Schools are not allowed to retain medication for students over the summer. Parents need to come into the school to pick up medication. It is against school policy to send medication home with students.
Yearbooks: We are completely sold out of yearbooks. We will not be placing a reorder. Students will receive them on the last day of school. If you have any questions, please email Deb Mullen.
Free Summer Meals Available Starting June 21: Bend-La Pine Schools will once again offer thousands of free, healthy and tasty meals to students throughout Central Oregon this summer as part of its annual Summer Meals program. The following sites will offer “Grab ‘N Go” brown bag breakfast and lunch meals from 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 21 through Aug. 20, except for Monday, July 5 when all sites we be closed.
