Please take some time to fill out the google form to asses the SustainBLS program as well as provide me information on how the fall goals went for you and your team this year. It is SUPER IMPORTANT I have this information from every school participating in the program. This is how we justify adding money to the account to pay you the stipend. Please complete ASAP. Above is some great info to share with staff about energy conservation myths. You can access the whole document here. We do not have the energy bills from the Thanksgiving break uploaded but I will do my best to get information out after the new year. Overall, schools are looking great! Don’t forget to remind staff to shut down over Christmas. Mini fridges and vending machines should be unplugged for the two weeks.

Waste not want not! I just wanted to share an interesting statistic as we dive into waste reduction. I am trying to reduce the number of garbage cans in schools halls and common areas. I believe we can do more with less, why. The district purchases and uses 525,000 garbage bags annually! When we return from break, I would love to assist you and custodial staff on reducing and educating the staff about the need for waste reduction.
