Ubuntu Summer Symposium – Now Accepting Applications

The application for COCC’s Ubuntu Summer Symposium is now open. The Ubuntu Summer Symposium introduces self-identifying Black and Afro-Centric high school students to the college experience through structured academic, leadership, and cultural activities. The goal is to expose students to different elements of the college experience that will better prepare them for the transition from high school into college. Add this QR code for the Summer Symposium to newsletters, websites, etc.

Free College Credits

Spread the word. COCC is offering up to 4 free credits this summer term to students who earn a high school diploma or GED in 2022 from one of COCC’s in-district high schools. This is great opportunity for graduating seniors to jump-start their college careers. The Summer term begins on June 21, and the application deadline for admissions is June 12 (Note: For the free credits, students must also submit the eligibility form by June 24. This incudes a copy of their high school diploma or transcript indicating proof of or clear progress toward graduation by June 2022 – unofficial transcripts accepted).
