Goals Check In

It is already March and we have accomplished so much this year! You are all amazing! Below is a quick “goals” check for our program.

  • Annual calendar
    • Completed
      • Recommendation: Update your annual calendar as the year progresses to help plan for next year.
  • Department goal based on data for your school site (use as SLGG)
    • In May/June we will be sharing updates on your outcome goal with a quick flashlight presentation, we will talk about that at our April meeting!
  • Life and Career Readiness
    • HS & MS: Getting to Individual Student Planning for Grades 6-12
    • ES:   SEL Curriculum Pilots 
    • Updates from LCR Steering Committee coming soon! Then, we can get started on our longterm implementation process.
  • Identify Tiered Interventions/Programming in ALL Domains:
  • Synergy Documentation (we are working on this!)
  • MTMDSS Outline (this will continue/morph as we look towards alignment at all levels…Oil Tanker!)

BLS College Information Night

Please promote with your families grades 9-11.

Families and students are invited to learn more about Oregon colleges during Bend-La Pine Schools’ College Information Night on March 14 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Bend Senior High School. Families and students in grades 9-11 are invited to attend this informational event.  

To kick off the night there will be a presentation from Bend La Pine Schools (BLS) School Counseling and Oregon college representatives. Attendees will then visit a mini-college fair with representatives from all nine public universities in Oregon,  Central Oregon Community College and various community partners. Representatives from BLS High School Counseling and School to Career will also be on hand to talk about key steps for families to prepare for college. 

Spanish interpretation will be available.

  • Folders by school site will be created for you in the BLS Counseling Drive.  
  • Simply open up your spreadsheet each week to input your Use of Time. 
  • The Google spreadsheet automatically calculates your Time Task Analysis, simply just place an X for every 15 minutes.  

Please use the cheat sheet to ensure that your definitions are in alignment with our BLS Agreements list in this document.
