Life and Career Readiness Fair: Future Planning
Thursday March 5th from 6:00-7:30 pm
Target Audience: Grades 6-12 Students and Families
Location: Caldera High School
The purpose of this event is to offer a wide array of resources to our students and parents, and we anticipate a significant turnout from the entire district. The event will kick off with a 15-minute presentation in the auditorium, where the district and the Schoolinks platform will provide valuable insights into life and career planning for students. At the fair, students and families will have the opportunity to interact with professionals from different fields, gain insights into the innovative Schoolinks website, and explore various post-high school options such as the military, trade schools, gap years, and entry-level career positions. In addition to high school students and parents, we also plan to introduce middle school students to opportunities like classes and programs available in high school by highlighting our CTE and pathway programs.
Lastly, we are hoping to have a breakout room with counselor representatives in both MS and HS to discuss academic and college/career planning with students and families.
More to come, but wanted to get it on your calendars!

Community Resource Fair for School Counselors, School Psychologists and Student Success Clinicians
When: Wednesday January 31, 2024 during SIW
Location: TBD
The Community Resource Fair aims to create a platform for our dedicated school counselors, school psychologists, and student success clinicians to explore the wide range of services and programs offered by local organizations. This event presents an excellent opportunity for local programs to share valuable information about the resources available beyond the school community, and to facilitate connections between organizations and our staff to better serve our students and families.
We are looking forward to it!
Use of Time: Next Week!
We have scheduled our Use of Time Data collection for November 13-17 and November 27-December 1st. We are asking that all counselors complete this data gathering process. Along with our Student Conference Data (Synergy Data) that you have inputted thus far, we will be sharing the compiled data with administrators and level leads in December.
Here is the information below with instructions on how to complete this process:
Here is a link the Google Folder. In it you will find a folder for each school and “Use of Time Sheets” for each counselor at that school. There is one sheet for November 13-17 and another for November 27-December 1.
The Use of Time Calculators are really easy to use, just put an X in the correct box for how you spent your time during that 15-minute period for each day.
Here is a link to the agreements for our agreed activities for how to input and where. Please review this document PRIOR to completing the Use of Time data collection. We need to make sure we are all calibrated on how to input the data into the form.
Again, we will be sharing this data with each other as well as administration and level leads. The more accurate it is, the more impactful it will be😊
Thanks!
