OSCA: New Website

Hi all!

As you might have heard, the Oregon School Counselor Association (OSCA) launched its new website on February 26.

If you’re an OSCA member, take 5 minutes today to log in (visit oscainc.org, and click “Log In” in the upper right corner) and update your profile (then click the profile icon in the upper right corner, and select “Edit Your Profile”).

I recently joined a special session to get a sneak peek, and WOW! It’s really and truly much improved.

A few things that impressed me:

  • Quite simply, the new site is modern and easy to use. It’s much easier to find what I’m looking for (conference info; application dates for scholarships, grants, School Counselor of the Year or Board elections; log in, etc.).
  • Three cheers for the new login experience! Again, modern and easy to use, and I quickly got in and updated my profile so I can connect with counselors around the state.
  • I really love that everything I need – my profile, membership information, resources and links to professional development opportunities, and the latest on the annual conference, scholarships, grants and nominations – are all in one place.
  • I’m really curious about and excited for the new virtual community, called the All OSCA Members group. This is our place to find out the latest info from OSCA and seek real-time peer support from our Oregon school counselor community. It’s a great place to show off our great work and see best-in-class examples from other schools and districts. I know when I’m in a pinch, this will help me access expert peer advice and find new, innovative ideas.

If you aren’t an OSCA member, check out the membership options, and consider joining to access all the great stuff I listed above.

If you run into trouble, reach out! I’ll do my best to help or point you in the right direction. I’m excited to hear your reactions, too.
