This and That:
Daily COVID-19 Updates: As you all know, the landscape with COVID-19 is quite dynamic and plans have been changing rapidly. You can expect a daily email update from me between now and Monday, March 30th… even if I don’t have anything new to share. Please understand, that anything I share today or in future updates can (and probably WILL) change at a moments notice. I will be sharing information daily just so you know my current best thinking.
Communication With Families: Due to the rapidly changing nature of our current situation, DO NOT SHARE ANY OF THE INFORMATION I SHARE WITH OUR FAMILIES unless directly instructed by me and/or Frank. The district and school will be the communication conduit for our families. Please DO let me know if you are hearing common themes and questions from our families that need to be addressed.
On Hold: A lot of events are completely on hold until we have a clearer picture of what lies ahead. Here is an incomplete list of events that will need some future consideration (this will be a running list; please send me other items that need to be added):

Working in Classrooms: I have had a few staff ask if they can work in their classrooms next week. First and foremost, I think it’s important to remind everyone that the reason school is canceled is to practice social distancing. Even if you don’t have symptoms, there are many asymptomatic people with COVID-19 who are unknowingly spreading the virus. With this in mind, if you MUST visit your classroom, please be ready to leave at a moments notice when cleaning crews arrive. If I am given a schedule for the cleaning crew, I will give you a heads up. Generally speaking, I encourage you to stay home.
Food Service at Elk Meadow: I am excited that Elk Meadow is one of five locations in Bend-La Pine that will be serving grab-and-go meals to kids 18 and younger next week. Follow this link for more information. Please feel free to share this information with your families and/ or on social media.
