We got this!

This and That:

March 30th Staff Meeting: Our staff meeting will begin at 8:00 sharp on Monday, March 30th. We will all be meeting via Webex; you should all have an email with a link at this time. The Webex meeting “site” will be “open” at 7:45, but the meeting won’t begin until 8:00. If you are able to access the meeting at home, you are welcome to participate from home. If you don’t have a solid internet connection at home, you may need to access the meeting from the school or via phone. I will be participating from the school because my bandwidth connection at home isn’t terribly strong. Once you get into the meeting, please be sure to mute your microphone and turn off your video.

Physical Distancing at Elk Meadow: If your job requires (or you choose) to work from Elk Meadow these next four weeks, it is expected that you will maintain physical distancing as required by the governor, frequently wash hands, and stay home if you exhibit any cold and flu type of symptoms. Administration is asked to enforce the governor’s orders, so please report to Kelle or Frank immediately if you notice someone not following these guidelines.

Entering and Moving Around Elk Meadow: One of the biggest hazards of working at the building will be with door knobs, handles, buttons, and other high-touch areas. If you are spending time at the building, please be mindful of avoiding high touch areas, cleaning high-touch areas (we can ALL help with this), and washing, washing, washing your hands. PS… propping doors open prevents one more place that needs to be touched.

Read Alouds:  Some of you have been sharing some great videos of you reading aloud with your students these past couple of weeks. THANK YOU! What a great way to connect. Principals have been asked to share these guidelines from publishers as some titles are off-limits. Sigh.

Food Service at Elk Meadow: Food service will continue at Elk Meadow at least through 4.28.2020. Food will be served from the back of the building in the gym. Please be sure to get the word out to families. New Hope Church has taken over delivering to a handful of our families who need that extra support (thank you, Heidi, for getting that set up!)

On Hold: A lot of events are completely on hold until we have a clearer picture of what lies ahead. Here is an incomplete list of events that will need some future consideration (this will be a running list; please send me other items that need to be added):

  • Conferences – dates, scheduling, etc…
