This and That:
Transfer Interviews (From Ryan Kelling): Monday, April 17th is the day we will be holding transfer interviews for all regular, contract teachers licensed and endorsed to teach elementary grades. These interviews are for current teachers interested in transferring to another elementary school for the 23-24 school year.
Transfer interviews will be held at Bear Creek Elementary beginning at 3:15 PM on Monday, the 17th of April. This event applies to classroom teaching positions but does not apply to specialist positions such as PE, music, ELL, SPED, or other specialists. Postings for open specialist positions will be posted as school-specific openings.
Please note that probationary one, probationary two, and temporary contract status teachers are not eligible to participate in this transfer interview event.
To participate in the transfer interviews, you must apply in UKG. For internal-only postings, please follow these directions and complete the application before April 11th.
Applicants will be sent an email on April 14th with their interview times.

Oregon Parks Forever offers the Ticket2Ride program to help 3rd through 5th-grade students in Title I schools access Oregon’s parks for experiential learning. Schools can apply for these first come, first serve funds by completing the online application on their website. Awards will be up to $500 per trip to reimburse actual costs.
Oregon Forest Resources Institute also has funds available for field trips where the PRIMARY focus of the trip is forestry/forestry education. Apply for these funds through their online application.
If you have questions about these programs, please contact Oregon Parks Forever at [email protected].
Conference Meals: Our Eagle Engagement Team (EET) will be catering our meals on Wednesday and Thursday. I believe some snacks will be out for most of the day on Wednesday and Thursday, with meals ready to eat at 3:00 each day (maybe earlier… I will get confirmation on this). The Wednesday theme is “taco bar,” and the Thursday theme is “soup and salad.”
Art in the Meadow: Art in the Meadow is our one time per year celebration of being an art school and sharing student art work with families. It is a hope that ALL staff who are able to make it work with their family life are in attendance and an expectation that all certified staff that are able to make it work are in attendance. Art in the Meadow will be on Friday, June 2, and staff that participate that evening can plan to leave the building as soon as student are gone on either 5/31 or 5/24 (whichever works best for your team). Thanks for helping to make it a great event!
