National Junior Honor Society
Congratulations to the 156 Pacific Crest 7th and 8th graders who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Wednesday evening. Each NJHS member achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher and completed a minimum of 10 hours of community service this school year. Together, this group of exceptional student leaders completed more than 2500 hours of community service: planting trees on the Pacific Crest campus; mentoring elementary school students; cleaning up our local parks and trails; working with animals at the Humane Society, Healing Reins, and Street Dog Hero; raking and shoveling snow for elderly neighbors; collecting food and clothing for less fortunate community members; and much more.
Final Spirit Week of the Year
- Monday, 6/13: 1990’s Apparel Day (wear clothes from this era)
- Tuesday, 6/14: Neon Day (wear your brightest colored clothing)
- Wednesday, 6/15: Golden Eagle Day (wear PCMS swag or gold, black, silver, white)
- Thursday, 6/16: Advisory Theme Choice (each advisory will choose “united” theme)

A Message from PCCO
2022/23 PCCO Board Positions
Our PCCO (Pacific Crest Community Organization) is currently seeking people to join the board for the 2022/23 school year. They are currently seeing a Vice-President and Treasurer. This a great way to be involved and support our school. Please contact Anne Westerhoff for more information at [email protected] or (562-225-8297). This is a great way to get involved in your student’s learning and support our community.
End-of Year Help Needed
Many of you have asked how you can offer support if you’re unable to attend an event during the school day. Here is a simple and great way to support our students and staff with two important end-of-the-year events. Our All Student Field Day takes place the last day of school, as well as, final staff gathering to send them off on summer break. Click this link to sign up to donate an item or two. Thanks in advance for making these two events a success!
One more thing…don’t forget to follow us on social media to keep up with what’s happening Facebook and Instagram @pacificcrestco.
Lost & Found Items
We will be reminding all students to check lost and found over the next couple of weeks, but please know that unclaimed items will be donated to local charities one Friday, June 17th.
