Math Bypass Testing

During the first week of June, sixth and seventh grade students who are interested in bypassing a level of Mathematics instruction will have the opportunity to take a bypass assessment. The bypass assessment is not available for students in 8th grade to bypass high school courses as these courses earn credit toward graduation.

This assessment will evaluate students’ understanding of key concepts in Number and Operations as well as Algebra and Algebraic Thinking, in order to determine whether they have mastered the skills taught in the grade level they wish to skip.

Please complete this Registration Form to let us know you would like your child to take the bypass assessment.

At PCMS, the bypass test will take place on Wednesday, June 4, starting at 9AM . Test results will be shared within a few days, and families will then be guided through the next steps based on the outcome.

Hello 8th graders attending Summit High School this Fall. If you are interested in playing football, please attend a meeting during lunch in the Cornice this Tuesday, April 22 from 12:45 – 1:15. Summit’s Head Football Coach and Freshman Head Coach will be there to answer questions and to share details about spring practice, summer workouts and commitment night. See you then!
