Hello Team! It looks like it’s going to get cold by the end of the week. I hope you all enjoyed our possible last warm weekend and are ready with your puffy coats! Here are our updates for this week.
Virtual Parent Coffee Hour: Last Thursday Kevin and Lori organized our first virtual “parent coffee” of the year. It was attended by about 9 families, and very appreciated. Lori shared some awesome tips with families and students about organizing their day and building good study habits and routines as part of their online schedule. If you’d like to see the presentation, you can access it here. If you have ideas or topics for parent coffee times in the future, please let us know. This is something we’d like to do every month or so.
iPad Swap: Each year, we must collect our oldest iPads from students and replace them with new devices. Any student that has fifth-generation iPad will need to have it swapped out for a new iPad as soon as possible. You may be hearing from students who have an orange banner across their iPad screen letting them know they fall into this group and need to swap out their device. Students based at schools should receive directions from their site. Full time online students can attend one of the sessions listed below. If they can’t come in then, collect names and we will contact them to make other arrangements. (But please, if at all possible encourage them to attend these sessions!)
Old Voicemail Accounts: For our staff who moved to North Star from the Education Center, or other staff who might have old numbers in the district you no longer use: Though phones have been forwarded, voicemail is NOT forwarded. If your number is not being used by someone new you should access your old voicemail account and leave a message on it saying that the mailbox is no longer monitored and provide a forwarding number there.

- 1:30 PM-iPad Trade Out at La Pine Elementary-coordinated by Kevin, with help from LPE staff
- 1:30 PM-iPad Trade Out at North Star Elementary-coordinated by Dan
On the Horizon…
- Wednesday, October 13th @ 1PM. TEAM LUNCH! Let’s celebrate fall, birthdays, and other things. Please plan to join us at North Star, everyone who can attend.
- Thursday, October 28th-Picture Day for all Full Time Online Students at North Star Elementary. Staff photos too! More details to come.
