Hi, Team! Welcome back from Spring Break. I hope everyone had a wonderful time-wherever you were-and that you feel ready to get back to some working routines. I know I’m looking forward to longer days, warmer bike rides, and the return of greens and other colors around the yard. Spring in Central Oregon always seems to take so long to arrive, and when it does…summer is looming and we are near our finish line for 2021-22. Wow.
As we ease back into work this week, please keep the following dates in mind:
- This Wednesday, March 30th: Elementary meeting at 9:30, Secondary meeting at 10:30. No afternoon meeting planned at this point.
- No Friday “Maintenance” meeting (April 1st) for those who are part of that routine. We can chat on Wednesday afternoon (March 30th) instead. Maybe around 12:30?
- Wednesday, April 6th: OSSM meeting in Amy’s webex at 7:45, North Star Teams will also meet this day on site.
- Friday, April 15th: Self-registration for BLSO will close. If students or families want to register for a class or more the request will need to come from a counselor (secondary) or through work in partnership with the brick and mortar school (elementary). More on this to come.
Thank you to everyone who helped send our “Intent Survey” out to full time families before the break. As of tonight we have had 115 families respond. Here are some highlights from those responses. We will continue to try to get more feedback from our families, and I will share more as I dig into the data.
“I love that the kids have a teacher to meet with every morning and a class. It makes the kids feel more involved to have a teacher and kids to connect with!”
“We enjoyed the learning books, learning materials, and fun way of learning also how easily it is to talk with teachers and how quickly they respond!”
“The program is user friendly and I like how if we have questions or concerns we always get really quick responses.”
“Staff availability and prompt responses when questions about content, teaching techniques or other questions that have arisen, have contributed to our success.”
“Easy to use program and the lessons are explained well – including math- which has been great.”
“So grateful to have had this option this year and I’m excited to hear what next year might entail.”
